Regional history museum Trebišov
Regional history museum was founded in 1954 in Sečovce but it was moved to Trebišov in 1981. Museum collects and displays artefacts and charters that document history and development of Trebišov municipality with emphasis on viticulture in Eastern Slovakia.
Regional history museum in Andrassy family manor house
Regional history museum seated in the Manor house built in 1786 by Count Imre Csaky in baroque-classicist style on remains of Parič castle. In 1830s the manor house was inherited by Count Andrássy who rebuilt it in Neo-Renaissance style and built a park with abroad woody plans around it. On park grounds stands a Neo-Gothic mausoleum of Andrassy family from 1890s. Since 1983 museum also specialises in history of fire making, colecting of matchbox labels and match sticks.
The most interesting expositions
Most interesting museum exposition includs - steam plow set, threshing development, Tokaji viticulture and wineplanting, archive of Tokaji wines, tradition crafts of South Zemplín , artisan Zemplín woodcut and sculpture as well as unique exposition "Andrássy family in Trebišov region" >more information
