Michalovce Zemplín museum was founded as „Regional history museum 1957 existing under its current name „Michalovce Zemplín museum“ since 1956. Its collections and expositions ar housed on the premises of baroque-classicist manor house once oven by noble families from Stare and Michalovce.

Regional history museum was founded in1954 in Sečovce. It was moved to Trebišov in 1981, Museum collects and displays domumentation on development of Trebišov district specializing in agriculture and Tokaji vine planting in Eastern Slovakian region.
